Celebrate pets' birthdays

If you have pets, do you celebrate their birthdays, days you were owned, does someone celebrate for you special days i.e. Mother’s Day?
We don't go all out for their birthdays or days we got our pet, but we do give an extra hug & say it out loud. Though they don't understand lol My husband will sometimes give me a note or card (we don't do cards anyways lol) that is from our dog for her 'mommy'.
