Cat for me though they're both amazing species. Cats are a bit easier to look after and don't need quite as much attention.

I had both growing up. We always had barn cats. I grew up on acreage with farms all around. Many were strays that just stayed. We also had a dog. Cats are great for sitting on your lap while reading or watching TV. Dogs are great for taking a walk with.
